It is not enough to provide capital, to run companies and provide big returns. It's crucial to think about the global ties we have, and how they impact the way we're doing business. We must be constantly aware of how our business practices affect the world we live in.
The team at Beacon Partners strongly believes that responsible investors and corporate leaders indeed, anyone who manages or deploys capital should be making contributions to both business and society. Whether contemplating the effect of globalization on emerging markets, facilitating conference summits, contributing to economic policy development or helping folks less well off than us, a philosophy of active engagement can reap valuable benefits for our companies and for ourselves.
